Snow Load?

The above pic is a shot in between 2   20′ wide houses and the accumulation of 18″ of snowfall in the last 2 days. If I were building these houses again I would leave more space between them. The spacing between these two is only 2 feet.

This is more snow than we usually get in an entire year and never all at once. This was one morning when my wife Karla wasn’t able to keep her appointed rounds let alone get out of our drive. She works at the Longview Wa post office. Below is evidence for her boss.
