A Busy Spring

It’s been a busy spring. We have 5 full greenhouses already and can’t wait til the markets open the end of this month. Several hundred calibrachoa baskets already starting to take up too much room. There is something about space in a greenhouse (or 8 greenhouses) you always think there should be room for just a few more baskets. My new 20×40 Shop Only greenhouse (the house  I use to manufacture my greenhouse kits, that is never supposed to be for plants) is already starting to run out of hanging basket space.

I Love Spring

My favorite new addition this year. I hope my baskets turn out as stunning as the ones I saw at The Basket Case Greenhouse in Long Beach (my old nursery). Fred and Nancy did an amazing job on all of their baskets last year but this one really stood out for me.

Any greenhouse owner will probably notice the empty bench space in the above pic.and say, look at all that empty space he has, what a waste. I’m sure it was filled up within a few minutes of this picture

Do I really have that many all yellow baskets?

And finally here’s what we did over the last 2 weeks. This is what 8   120 foot long greenhouses look like, in the rain, just before Emily and I loaded them onto a truck.

Bows bent compliments of Sean Mathers, thank you Sean.
