Sorry Jesse I have never used lights in growing. I'd say google it. Guess I should have said never used lights to start plants. I do give my begonias extra lighting in the night.

I am looking to start growing seeds inside and had a question on lights.

I have a 4ft commercial looking fixture with the tube lights. I have looked online at the "plant" bulbs which are such a high price. Could you recommend any types of bulbs that will grow plants from seeds?

Thanks!

Thanks for the quick, detailed response. I appreciate you taking the time to do it. It sounds like your are on a roll. Too much to do is usually a good thing. Best of luck. I'm trying to talk my wife into a 12'x40' from you. I'm getting close.

Curt, between the greenhouse manufacturing and growing for the markets I find it hard to even keep up with this blog.
And yes I know Jack would say : dude I'm going to kick your ass" but I just don't want to open another can of worms with stocking inventory, packaging, shipping product, billing and basically pissing folks off when they don't get what they wanted. I guess it would have been easier to just say no, but I wanted you to know why I am not looking at going into that end of the business.
I have listed several greenhouse suppliers that I use. They are all the same though anywhere in the country. High prices barely passable service and a list of excuses longer than mine.
Happy planting

Steve,

I would love to see you offer empty pots and other greenhouse accessories for sale on your site. You know what Jack would say. ;-}

Is the variety of Sedum that you show in this post the same that you talked about in your "Growing for Market" series?.

Thank you so much for spreading your vast knowledge. I truly appreciate it.

Looking good I like how you laid the 2x4 flat on endwall sides easy to roll a wheelbarrow in/out! Also the mounting the benches to the hoops on the back is great I assume there are no weight issues with having the bench mounted direct to the hoops?

Yes the flange is a drive tool, we used a t post pounder to get the stubs started then wen to the flange. This greenhouse is in a pretty well wind protected area so we won't use any concrete. I do suggest cementing the 4 corners otherwise.
